📋 Project Queue = Life Upgrade

Hello friend,

I don't know about you, but I have found the extra Black Friday email traffic a bit overwhelming this week. If you have made time to read my email today, I really appreciate it. Thank you.

On the subject of sales (insert awkward face emoji here!) I've applied a one-week discount to my Trust Your Task List Masterclass. I am referring to this as a seasonal price wobble!

Let's crack on with the digest👇

✏️ Doodle Essay and Voice Note

I have a doodle essay and a new voice note for you.

My doodle explores the concept of a project queue (I know, I know... it's not a sexy topic, but it can make a massive difference to your workload).

The voice note shares how I am using AI to help me rest (it's true!).

🧰 Tools

Here's a tool recommendation for you (you know I love tools!). I've just upgraded my microphone to a RODE PodMic USB, and so far, I am delighted with it.

Thanks to Laura from Communicating for Impact for recommending this mic to me.

If you want to see a long list of all the tools I use to run my life and business, you can find that here: Tools.

📚 Read

Here are some articles from other creators I thought you might enjoy:

  • I'm currently writing a training course on delivering feedback; this article from Wes Kao explains how feedback should be "strategy, not self-expression". I highly recommend Wes's newsletter, and this strategy is excellent.
  • I'm fascinated by the idea of "flow", and this article by Tanner Garrity explores it beautifully.

If you're curious about the books I'm reading, you can see my library in Tana here: Library.

📺 Watch

I've had a few people ask me about my calendar setup lately (I use Morgen), so I thought I would share this video from Danny Hatcher that highlights the tool's top 10 features.

While I don't use the AI planner, I love being able to create an individual meeting link to share my availability. It's also amazing having all my calendars in one tool (and it is simple to toggle them on and off).

If you'd like to give Morgen a try, here's my link: Try Morgen (note this is an affiliate link, but I have used Morgen for years and LOVE IT; you can read my affiliate disclosure here).

🎧 Listen

I enjoyed listening to this episode of the Squiggly Careers podcast, which reminded me of the seven types of rest.

Also, this episode of the Zoe podcast—an interview with Kayla Barnes-Lentz on longevity protocols—was quite interesting.

What has been your favourite podcast episode this week? Let me know; I'd love to hear from you.

That's all from me today. Have a great week, and I will be in touch again next weekend.

Best wishes,

Martine

P.S. Don't forget to enjoy the Seasonal Price Wobble on Trust Your Task List!

Hello friend, With the end of 2025 being so close, I'm in a reflective mood. I thought it would be fun to look back at the year through my doodles. I created 150 doodles this year. Because there are so many, I have selected my top 12 to share in today’s digest. Choosing favourites was difficult. While I am pleased with the artwork in some, most were chosen because of the message they convey. I encourage you to read the short essays that accompany each one. You might find it helpful to...

Hello friend, With just 18 days left in 2025, now is a great time to reflect on the year and think about next year. To help, this weekend's digest has an annual review flavour. I am sharing several doodles, articles, and podcasts from my archive to support your reflection and goal-setting. I hope you'll consider running some personal experiments alongside your goals next year and see how that feels (if you haven't read Tiny Experiments for inspiration yet, now would be a great time). I also...

Hello friend, I've been feeling that "end of year" energy this week. What about you? I like the emphasis on slowing down a little, reflecting, and planning rest. On the subject of rest, I'm going to take a couple of weeks off over the holiday period. This means I won't send a weekend digest email on 27 December or 3 January. I've already started planning my last two digests of the year for you, though, and I am excited to send them. Next weekend's email will have an annual review and planning...
